ABOUT ME
I am
a leader whose work spans movements, philanthropy, policy, research, communications, and cultural production across Jamaica, the UK, the United States, Africa, and Europe.
I work with foundations, philanthropic collaboratives, governments, and grassroots organisations to shape strategy, narrative, and resource alignment across gender justice, reproductive justice, health equity, and racial equity. My work is often situated at moments of transition or pressure, supporting organisations to maintain clarity, strengthen alignment, and remain accountable to the communities they serve.
I am the Co-Founder and Strategic Director of Dope Black Women, a global community of more than 35,000 people across the UK, US, Africa, and the Caribbean. Through this work, I have supported access to culturally competent therapy, coordinated large-scale relief efforts, and built community infrastructure grounded in care, rest, and connection. This work reflects my commitment to long-term, community-led responses rather than short-term interventions.
I am the author of Decolonising Restorative Justice: A Case of Policy Reform (Routledge, 2023), with ongoing writing focused on gender, governance, accountability, and repair. My scholarship and public writing sit alongside applied work with movements and institutions, bridging research, lived experience, and strategy.
I am a curator and public speaker, with experience designing and leading conversations at the intersection of policy, culture, and social change. I have curated and contributed to programmes with Women Deliver, WOW, and King’s College, and have spoken at Cambridge University, Oxford University, and the Royal Albert Hall. My work in these spaces focuses on creating conditions for rigorous dialogue, collective reflection, and sustained engagement.
Alongside this, I collaborate across award-winning television and theatre, contributing to cultural work that explores power, identity, and belonging. I approach creative production as an extension of my justice work — using narrative, performance, and storytelling to reach audiences beyond traditional policy and advocacy spaces.
I am guided by a relational and disciplined approach to leadership that centres accountability, trust, and shared responsibility. I work with close attention to context and history, and with the understanding that durable change depends on who holds influence, how decisions are made, and whose knowledge is treated as expertise.
My philosophy is straightforward:
Organisations — whether creative, corporate, or mission-driven — do their best work when people, strategy, and culture are aligned and honest with each other.
That alignment is what I build. That is the work that has carried me across sectors, countries, and communities — and the work I continue to lead with conviction and care.
My work spans global health, gender justice, and racial equity
I work with organisations that value both strategic discipline and creative possibility. If you’re looking for leadership that delivers results, builds trust, and brings sharp, imaginative solutions to complex challenges, let’s talk.
